Remembering Carman

Sometimes when a seed dies, we get to see just how many seeds that seed actually planted.

Carman Dominic Licciardello passed away this week.

I was one among many those who grew up listening to Carman. Firing up his YouTube channel brings back a lot of memories. I texted my youth pastor, too.

Last week, I wasn't thinking at all about him or his music. This week, his passing brings to the surface his life, music, evangelistic emphasis, and the many seeds he planted over his lifetime.

When I first heard his music in high school, his music reflected some differences in theological background or disposition than mine. That was less important than things I found the same. He embraced the name of the Savior and pointed other people to Him.

Do you know Jesus? He can be your Savior, too.
